Paratonnerre, the first album of duo Griffure , fixes in time some of the band's latest compositions. They have transformed into a string quintet, enhanced with an electroacoustic setup, and wander between composition, improvisation, and text.
The work of arrangements for strings brings orchestral colours to the music, while the electronics enables the exposition of this sonic space and makes the musical texture shifting through the treatment of voices and instruments.
The material is shredded, rehashed and stretched across a large canvas, to follow the illogical logic of a dream. Questions arise in this great sonic fresco, and songs emerge to guide us through the vines...
